This sunrise scene is composed using four positioned elements and the CSS3 box-shadow property. The leftmost version is your browser's rendering. It should look like the picture on the right.

This CSS3 box-shadow test applies the box-shadow property to four elements: one for the sun, one for each cloud and one for the sky. In some cases, multiple shadows are applied to the same element e.g. both clouds are composed of two shadows applies to the same rounded div element.

The box-shadow property is defined in the CSS3 Backgrounds & Borders module.
